Our Religious Education Programs provide a structured approach to Sacramental preparation, knowledge of scripture, prayers, Commandments, and Creed. Family involvement is essential in the teaching of prayers and initiating regular attendance at weekly Mass and the sacraments.

Services List

CCD Catechetical classes for all students in Kindergarten through 12th grade who are not attending Catholic schools. Registration forms should be received by June 1st.

Bible School invites children to participate in fun and faith-filled activities by offering exciting themes for boys to girls, from youngsters to tweens—there’s something inspiring for every child in Catholic Vacation Bible Camp.

Children's Liturgy of the Word
Children's Liturgy of the Word takes place at 10:30 AM Mass and is an opportunity for children to hear the Word of God and discuss its contents in language appropriate to their age level. Children ages 3-12 are called up for a blessing prior to the Children’s Liturgy. Parents are welcome to attend

Confirmation A preparatory program requiring classroom instruction for eighth and ninth grade. This is a Diocesan Confirmation policy. Confirmation is received at the end of ninth grade.

RCIA A program for adults who have not been baptized, are baptized Christians, from other denominations, or Catholics who were baptized, but have never received their First Holy Communion and have not been confirmed.

Sacraments

Life at St. Lawrence Church revolves around the Eucharistic sacrifice and the sacraments. There are seven sacraments in the Church: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Matrimony, and Holy Orders.

First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion will be received in the 3rd grade.
